Marines Helping Marines, the Bethesda Naval Hospital Project. This formal program was established "to provide extensive support for injured Marine Corps personnel at the National Naval Medical Center with volunteers from the State of Maryland Marine Corps League Detachments." Due to the fact that Bethesda Naval Hospital is located in Maryland, the National Commandant has asked the Department of Maryland to represent the National Marine Corps League in this major undertaking.

Department Of MS MCL State Meeting
The State meeting for the Department of MS Marine Corps League will be held on January 17th, 2009, at 9:00 AM in the conference room at the Microtel Inn & Suites, 518 Bonita Lakes Drive, Meridian (see map link, below). Those who plan to come the 16th of January and spend the night can make reservations by calling Microtel at (888) 771-7171 toll free - be sure to mention that it is for the MS Marine Corps League and bargain with them for the best deal on the best room you can get. Those Marines who do spend the night will meet in the lobby of the Motel on the 16th at around 5:15 PM to go as a group to eat then meet back in the conference room of the motel for an informal meeting to catch up on all the good scuttlebutt and to renew friendships - You are on your own for breakfast on the 17th (day of the meeting).
